DNV Technical Consultancy and Development team consists of highly educated and strongly motivated engineers. The team consists of naval architects, product designers, mechanical engineers and programmers. For years we have been developing competences in following areas: CAD systems (2D and especially 3D modeling), CAE systems (FE modeling and analysis), and programming (graphic but also mobile solutions as specialization).

On the specific projects, the competences are extended on other elements like technical inspections, project management, etc, through cooperation with other DNV units.

In our daily work we deal with modeling and analysis of structures (including photorealistic visualizations), products and services development (mainly for training and communication purposes), research and development projects (one of the main areas of interest are CAD\CAM systems) and software development. DNV Technical Consultancy and Development is leading DNV unit providing solutions for integration of three dimensional models of the ships and offshore structures with data based systems supporting new building project management and planned maintenance systems.
